Me, my life, and the like

If you are reading my blog then it is a good assumption that you take some interest in my life. Good for you. This week is going to be unbareably weighty. I have so much school I can hardly consintrate on one subject without being overcome with greif. Thankfully I do not have a lot of tests this week which always makes my week a little less stressful.
Yesterday I told y mom she is not aloud to get off her feet, except for ABSOLUTE necesseties, for the next four days. I want her to be bettter, the only way that can happen is if she takes it easy.
I spent the weekend with my cousin Flo Faris. We had a great time, as always. Flo is one of the only people that can make me laugh so hard and so much that when I get home my abbs hurt. It's a really funny sight when we start laughing.
Anyway, yesterday I went to Lafayette for church. I think everyone should visit other churches reguarly. We do, and it helps my perspective and focus. Every church has her strength and her weakness, we can learn from eachtother.
THisis random but I am seriously considering going to Purdue. One reason is because Lafayette as such a awesome program with their college students up there. Plus, Flo and I have wanted to be roomates since we were like 5. She has deceided that she wants to be an orthodonist helper. That takes three semestors of training at Ivy Tech. When that is over she wants to go to Purdue and take photography and music. Flo is so inspiring. She knows what she wants to do, and she is practical about it.
I am not sure waht I want to do. Perhaps I will be a nurse. I have my ups and downs; because half the time I REALLY want to be a nurse. Then I will get this reality check and freak out about the little things I would have to be doing like taking , or giving IVs. I am just not really good with needles. Sometimes I let that discourage my dream, and somtimes I overcome my discomfort. Today I am pretty excited about the possiblity. My cousin Esther is going to be a nurse, and she showed my how much work she has to do. It was a whole lot of classes but I wan really excited about it. We shall see what God brigns in store for me.

How about adding editing to that busy list of work this week so I'll have less of a burden. lol

That's cool about you considering Purdue. I used to want to go there, and maybe still do.There are so many options out there, and I'm not even sure what I want to do yet.I thought maybe IWU for awhile since it's in my hometown and down the road Kokomo may start a church planting there and we have wanted an outreach with the college students.Though at the same time it would be cool to go father away and be a part of another church. Anyway that it still awhile down the road (but will come all to soon)
Well hope your week goes well:o)

Thats cool that you are thinking about your future. Purdue certainly has a really good ministry with the collage students, which is one of the main reasons I want to go to Purdue myself. I'm hoping to get an International Agronomy degree (preparation for opportunities in world agriculture), then go to ECHO as an intern for however long God wants me there. After that, I see him directing me towards being a missionary in Central/South America. It's really neat how God has shown me all this all ready! I'm relying on God for direction, so all will go as he directs.

Consider Geneva.

if I got a full ride, I would consider that. um... I don't think that is going to happen to me. Plus it's too far away.

I didn't mean YOU consider it; rather, I meant all people reading this. It's one thing with people like Brian, going to Purdue because Purdue is strong in agriculture. But so few RPs even consider Geneva. I mean, why would an RP go to any religious school (except maybe one in his/her hometown) except Geneva; yet many do.

I would have to agree with Joe. I never seriously considered Geneva. Although I do know lots of people that go there and think that is great. It is just REALLY far away, very expensive, and frankly Geneva isn't very strong in the school of nursing; at least from what I know. The school has strength in the areas of Bible, and theology. It would be cool to take classes from Geneva but that isn't going to happen for me.

I just consider it this way: obviously, a religious school will not have cheap tuition due to taxes. If you go to a religious school, why go to any other than ours, except perhaps if you can live at home? Geneva presents the Bible better than any other school, from Methodists to Baptists to other Presbyterians. And as far as other denomination professors, only RPs are allowed to teach in the Bible department.

I thought about Geneva, but Purdue had the better flight school, church ministry, and was closer to home.

It seems to me that going a "Christian" college would make it hard to be much of a witness. Who do you Christ with if every one already knows? - Kind of like you don't eat a candle light dinner with all the lights on, you use the candles in the dark so you can see them. - that’s just be one of reasons I have never really wanted to go to a Christian college.

Purdue has a better flight school? Aviation is one of Geneva's biggest strengths. They have a program with one of the top schools in the country.

I totally agree!
