The Lord's Day

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work; you nor you son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Exodus 20:8-11

How quick we are to forget this command God gave us. As covenant children we do treat Sunday differantly. But do you really remember the Lord's words? Even in worship, sometimes I am more focused on the people around me then on God. It is a problem. We could all use a challenge in this area.

That is absolutely right!
But there is a point where we are to love those around us in the church - fellowship with them.
Not during the service however, thats reserved for focus on God....

I myself am a firm believer in resting on the Sabbath. Rest and relaxation... *sleeps*

When I was little, my parents would always make us take naps on Sunday. And we were never allowed to play. I didn't like it one bit! But now I am soo thankful for the blessing of having one day completely for rest and worship. (And I LOVE naps! Haha. :))

it is also good to use Sunday as a day to minister to others. when Jesus did this and was challenged by the "righteous" people he responded saying, "is it unlawful to do good on the Sabbath?"
