Hell, and the predestined...
Verses

[answering the question: does God send people to Hell?]

II Peter 2:4-10
"For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to Hell, putting then into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgement; if He did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flodd on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if He comdemned the sities of Sodom and Gomorrah by bunring them to ashed, and made them as example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men (for that righteous man, living amoung them say after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)- if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue gidly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgement, while continuing their punishment. This is especiallly true of those who follow the corrupt desire and the sinful nature and despise authority."

Jude 6
"Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered His people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe."

Luke 12:5
"But I will show you whom you should fear: Feat Him who after killing you in the body has the power to cast you into Hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!"

Matthew 25:30-34, 45-46
"'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angles with HIm, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He iwll seperate them on from another, an shepard divided his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [long dialogue about the unrighteous refusing to feed/clothe/ care for Jesus] Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you sis not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

I don't think Ethan was asking about this; I thought he was criticizing the idea that God predestines people to hell.

Ethan will correct me if I'm wrong 8^D
