hi

What do you guys think about the Biblical ground for having fun? I will give a prize to the person who can give the best example/verse from the Bible. I mean mainly having fun together, and just being happy.

Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

Joy is important. There have been studies done on a persons well being. If the person is in good spirits the majority of the time, the person tends to not get sick as often and live longer. Those in bitter spirits most of the time, experience sickness and disease more often than not. God knew this from the start. I mean come on, He created us. Of course He knew! Hence why a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, and a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Hey both Sean and Jeremiah have good points. The verse Jeremiah had was the verse that came to my mind first. I think that having a happy heart is important. It seems like sometimes there are activities, possibly having fun together, that promote a happy heart. The only thing to remember in those activities is that it needs to be honoring to God. I guess also you have to consider what you mean by happy. Anywho those are my thoughts!
