-Biblestudy
-game night
-canoe trip (not for college kids)
-Psalm sing
-visit a nursing home
-camp fire
-bake day and give our products to families in need, maybe the guys could go and work for the same families
-skit night
-watch a movie, aka Lord of the Rings, etc
among many other things. I am not sure why I am making this list but I think we need to start doing this tuff together, we won't have to call it a youth group we could just do it.
hello everyone
I have had one incredible week. As soon of you know I was at Calvin College for the Reformed Pres. International conference. It started last Saturday, and we left the conference yesterday morning. Pastor Ted Donnelly was the main speaker, and he did an amazing job. He spoke on 'Our Calling in Christ' and David Whitla and Josh McEwin spoke to the highschoolers on our names in Christ. It was really cool how the two topics were so interrelated, it was as if we had a sovereign God overseeing every detail of the lives of His people. I learned so much my head was swimming in new found knowledge all week. I am still trying to sort everything out so I have been reading over my notes and stuff. I have so much more I want to tell you guys about Calvin, but for now I am going to move on. Be sure to ask me about it if you are interested and I will probably write more about in the days to come.

For all you little ECHO trip 2 people's information...
Jenny Baumgardner is having a ECHO party tomorrow, and you all of course are invited. You must come. All s are to bring a side dish or dessert. Guys of course are to bring a 2 liter or a bag of chips. Anyways some people didn't know about it and I wanted to make sure everyone was clear. I am coming, the party starts at 3:30 and it goes until like 10:00.
What's really important
When you stare life in the face, and ponder the reasons and motives for everything you do... and then the things that seem really important to you that day don't really matter. When you think about all the time you waste everyday, time that could be used for some glorifying purpose but was spent watching commercials, and surfing the web for hours on end. I saw this picture once, it was a picture of two men sitting in their den, listening to music, eating popcorn and candy, and just hanging out by the looks of the picture they had been there a long time. It seems normal right, I mean you and I do this, but when your eyes looked out of the pictured room trough the window, there were millions of people standing outside their house watching them.
The point is that we have all the saints of the past watching us, a cloud of witnesses, the pictures was of old tired faces, wearied by hard labor and toil, some were young and yet looked very d, these people, the saints watching us have died for Christ. There faith was that strong, and those that didn't die for Him certainly lived for Him. They labored for His name.

My favorite...
When people ask me, normally due to lack of conversation, who my favorite character is in Lord of the Rings, I always answer the same. Of all of the heroic people in the books and movies there is really know question who is the real hero. Unlike most the people in the tale these two did their service voluntarily, not out of duty nor of responsibility. And they conquered more then just physical enemies. They conquered their will. True they didn't always make the right discussion but that makes the story all the more delightful, for neither do I.
My hero's are Frodo Bagense of the Shire and Samwise Gamgie.
I have found a pattern here...
For those of you that have already voted, you really need help. Yes, SOME of you actually gave a reason why your favorite Character is just that your favorite, but you don't argue, none of you have stood fast to your position.
