Silent Scream

At the moment of conception a miracle happens
When a spirit is joined with flesh;
The heart starts to beat and blood begins flowing
As the baby and soul enmesh.
Yes, the fetus is a living and hopeful being,
Looking forward to a life on earth.
What changes would we see on this earth today,
Had all been allowed natural birth?
But millions of babies are senselessly slaughtered
For the crime of being unwanted.
While the Liberal's carp, "It’s a woman’s choice!"
And into the trash heap they’re shunted.
The soul within the baby screams,
"Please, give me a chance at life!"
But the silent screams of the unborn child
Are muted by the surgeon’s knife.
They tell themselves, "The fetus can’t feel."
As it’s torn from the mother’s womb. A

Some of you may be wondering why I haven't posted on my blog for such a long time. I didn't because I couldn't. Honest I couldn't post anything and I don't know why. Today my blog is working and I hope it stays that way.

I want to encourage everyone that is capable to go to Winter Conference this year. It is an awesome time of fellowship and learning. Last year I came home very inspired. It is only $45 if you sign up now. You can sign up by going to the CYPU website, which I have forgotten the name of at the moment, or you can pick up a flyer at church. Anyway please try to sign up now and you will not regret it, for real.

I am so happy. I have no school this week. I mean I do have homework and stuff, but no classes. School is a good thing, and I know I should be more grateful for then I have been. I just have a hard time finding joy in doing such stressful work.

I am reading the book 'Walking With God' by J.C. Ryle. I seriously recomend it to anyone who is having trouble being motivated in thier walk with Christ. I can really slack in doing a thorough Quiet Time and the like. This book, which is required for Mr. Pulliam's class, is really convicting in that area. I am only a third of the way through the book and it has already done some serious good in my life. You should read it.

Well, I am not sure exactly what else to say. I hope you all have an excellent day. Remember to give thanks this week. Love you guys, chat later.

love

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountians, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there ar tongues, they will cease; wether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

ever wondered...

Have you ever wondered 'what is the most important thing in my life?' Things are just that, things. We will not take them into Heaven. I ask myself what my top priorities are and I came up with just a few:

First, God. God is the most important Thing in my life.

So I ask myself: 'How do you show that importance?' The answer is easy to say, but incredibly hard to do. The truth is, I should act upon my priorities by talking to Him above all others. I should be concience(sp?) that with every breath I take, every move I make, I am proclaiming the depth of my love for Him. Do I do this? No. Frankly I suck at this. I forget, and move through life without giving much thought to my actions and reactions.

Second, love people. God told me to love people, and that is how I can honor Him.

So I ask myself: 'How do you show people love?' The answer is easy to say, but incredibly hard to do. Lets start with the basics: what is love?

Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love does not boast.
Love is not rude.
Love does not envy.
Love does not delight in wickeness,
but Love rejoices in the truth.
Love always hopes.
Love never fails.

Do I love people? No. I am one of the most selfish people I know. I forget that I am not here to be served. I am here to serve. Christ loved people.

What are your priorities? Do you live up to what is required of you?

Hey, life is short. We are here for a purpose, and that purpose is to glorify God. So glorify Him. People surround us, they are everywhere. The next time someone ticks you off, take a deep breath and remember what your purpose is, and who you love.

It also helps to remember Who loves you.

this day in History

I have had quite a day. Yesterday I realised that I have a TON of Worldviews. We had to find a bunch of quotes from the books we have read in the last couple of weeks. It was more work then is possible for a highschool student along with the other required studies. Margaret was called for a specail request. Her mother answered the phone, and it was discovered that Margaret could not come over yesterday afternoon to study with me. She had to work at the Harrison, also known as a retirement home.
Durning Spanish class yesterday it dawned on me that I could ask Mrs. Judd to allow Margaret to spend the night. After a great appeal and a time of pondering it was decided that my dear friend could spend the night at my house. The plan was that she would come home with us from Veritas and stay until I went to Mr. Baumers class this morning.
We did to a mess of studying. David Pulliam also joined us. We got much accomplished, which makes me very happy for it would have taken me ages to get it all done single-handed.
Surprisingly (but true to promise) Margaret and I fell asleep around 11 last night. When we awoke a new day awaited us, and we were ready for it.

We had Chemistry this afternoon. I have to say that there are times that the subject interests me; today it did not. I am not sure if my lack of interest was due to the subject matter, or simply my atittude. It is possible it was a blend of both, because Margaret too was in a great state of boredom during class.

I think that everyone who can should attend Veritas. It is a fairly regular meeting at the Butler campus about every month or so. Last night Don Kister spoke on the free will of man. I took extensive notes, perhaps I shall post them sometime. I know that they will benefit me in my study of God and His truths.

A Nun asked her class to write notes to God.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: I didn't think orange went with purple until I saw the sunset You made on Tuesday. That was cool.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Instead of letting people die and having to make new ones, why don't You keep the ones You already have?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Maybe Cain and Abel would not have killed each other if they had their own rooms. That's what my Mom did for me and my brother. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: If You watch me in church on Sunday, I'll show You my new shoes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: I bet it is very hard to love everyone in the whole world. There are only 4 people in our family and I'm having a hard time loving all of them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: In school they told us what You do. Who does it when You are on vacation?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Are You really invisible or is it just a trick? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Is it true my father won't get into heaven if he uses his bowling words in the house?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Did You mean for the giraffe to look like that or was it an accident? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Who draws the lines around the countries? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: I went to this wedding and they kissed right in the church. Is that OK? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Did You really mean "do unto others as they do unto you"? Because if You did, then I'm going to get my brother good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Thank You for the baby brother, but I think you got confused because what I prayed for was a puppy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Please send me a pony. I never asked for anything before. You can look it up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: I want to be just like my Daddy when I get big, but not with so much hair all over.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: You don't have to worry about me; I always look both ways. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: I think about You sometimes, even when I'm not praying. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: Of all the people who worked for You, I like Noah and David the best. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: My brother told me about being born but it doesn't sound right. He is just kidding, isn't he?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: I would like to live 900 years just like the guy in the Bible. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God: We read Thomas Edison made light. But in Sunday school they said You did it. So, I bet he stole Your idea.
