Continued

I shall now try to finish the representation of the characters of Lord of the Rings. We are finished with men, now we shall move on to dwarves.

DWARVES in there halls of stone

GIMLI the only dwarf truly represented in the trilogy. He is one of the fellowship, brave vengeful and rather rude at times, Gimli follows the footsteps of his fathers with a passionate for the elves. Yet is overcome by a loving friendship for Legolas the Elf before the end is nigh.

ELVES under the sky

ELROND the ruler of the elven city of Rivendell, father of Arwen, the unofficial stepfather of Aragorn, very wise and trustworthy. He has seen much in his three thousand years of life, and yet he knows he soon shall leave this world. He provides much help to the fellowship and strength and courage to those at lose.

LEGOLAS elven price of Merkwood, he attend the counsel of Elrond and then set out on his unexpected journey with the fellowship of the nine. Keen with bow and arrow, swift yet light of foot (which results in the ability to walk on snow), he too has a wisdom gathered though out the ages of his life, and he can sleep while he runs.

ELVEN WOMEN

ARWEN the daughter of Elrond, raised by her grandmother Galadriel. Arwen is desperately in love with Aragorn, yet she must choose between him and her immortal life, in the end love triumphs, of course we all knew it would. She is a elven princess, with much grace, and gentleness of spirit, she is very beautiful to behold, and has the strength of her father, she too has a part to play.

GALADIEL she is the keeper of one of the three rings gifted to the race of the elves of old, by the hand of Sauron himself. Yet dispite this pressure she houses the fellowship, and refreshes them with her hospitality, and many rich gifts. She too is beautiful and gifted with many powers, and she is as wise as serpents, as harmless as doves.

HOBBITS the race which was discovered in the Hobbit but truly shines the trilogy

PIPPIN the youngest hobbit on the jrouney he and his relation Merry get themselves in more trouble, yet you can't help but love his devotion to Frodo, and his courage when prompted. Pippin is very trusting, naive at times, too curios for his own good, and very undicerning of when not to bother Gandulf with questions. In the end he is one of the grandest heroes of all.

MERRY Pippins counter part, he has a more level head, and is a little less ignorant, yet he is still a hobbit, ignorance is bliss, he was unaware of dark powers all together until he was washed into this journey. He also is very brave but has to be prompted to be, and there was no way he would even think of letting Frodo go into this adventure on his own.

SAM made a promise to Frodo at the very beginning and not once was it broken. He was the most loyal of all, his courage was just as high, nothing could separate him from his mast Frodo. Sam set out with an excitement to finally get a chance to see elves, and things of that sort that one didn't' see in the Shire, he soon finds out that this isn't like one of Bilbo's stories, this was real, he would fight of villains and battle the elements, to make sure Frodo was safe, Frodo wouldn't have made it without Sam.

FRODO the barrier of the ring, at first it was his duty, but before it all was through he volunteered to take the task upon himself with the help of many most of all his faithful servant Samwise. Frodo was strong, and determined, his love for the Shire was evident for truly he did what he did for his home, Frodo may have failed in the eyes of his observers, for he himself never throw the ring into mount doom, yet he bore that ring, which is far more then anyone else could do.

This finishes my representations, there are many more people who made this story live, and truly happen, yet they could not possibly all be mentioned. So Now I must simply say that Rosie is probably the most important character of all. And Gandaulf, yet he didn't fall into any of the categories, and so I didn't do a summery of all he did, plus as a representation of an angelic being I count him as a character but it is hard to summaries to just know that he too is on the list of nominees.

Unofficial Poll

While I was gone I had several discussions which ended up turning into arguments, how I don't know, on the topic of ones favorite character in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. There are many options, and I am interested to know what each of yours are. To make things easier I will make a list you can chose from, and write a brief summery on the characters life, and purpose.

MEN, 'Doomed to Die':

ARAGORN swordsman, courageous warrior, heir to the thrown of Gondor, a dear friend of Gandulf, destined to marry the beautiful elvin princess Arwen. He was raised by elves and he has refused his place a King, in the end he excepts his crown with honor.

FARAMIRE last remaining son of the line of stewards of Gondor, courageous warrior, gentle kind, and giving, he is treated harshly by his father, yet does the right thing.

BOROMIRE was the heir to the steward of Gondor, was a fighter, he was easily overcome by the ring, and acted upon his , resulting in some horrible actions on his part, yet redeemed himself when he died in the place of the hobbits who he grows to love. He has a over abundant love for his people especially his father.

THEODIN king of Rohon, possessed by the evil spirit of Sauraman in which case he became an enemy to his own country and family, yet when released for his demon he ruled his country with love. Willing to die for those he loved. Ends up fighting along side Gondor, with nobleness.

EOMER nephew of king Theoden, banished from his country for doing good when Sauramon had control, yet even in this state he protected his people. He loved dearly his sister, and got big points for that.

WOMEN OF THIS RACE

EOWYN lovely princess of Rohan, niece of the king. Staying loyal to her king even in his state of possession. She fell for Aragorn, and her heart was broken to find his unwilling to return her affection, yet she was wise and noble beyond her years.

Due to present circumstances I have to get off now. But I will return to this project. Please do not vote yet because it is unfair for those who have yet to be represented.

I AM BACK

We safely returned from ECHO, praise be to God. we actually got back Friday at 2:00, but I have had such a jam backed schedule that I haven't written until now... sorry. But as you all have probably guessed blogging is not my first priority, and it shows at times such as these.
I had a INCREDIBLE time at ECHO. I can't really describe it. Our team bounded surprisingly well, I honestly didn't think we would all get along but we really had a blast together.
The work was hard, really hard, I plan to post some of my journal entrees for Mr. P's class, from which you can find out all of what we did but for now I will just say I loved it.
The Flies, beetles, fire ants, mosquitoes, big fat bugs, horrible creatures, were all TERRIBLE. I every creeping/flying thing with such a passion that I slaughtered everyone in sight. Cindy was my faithful comrade and we were followed by many others. Ever night I would have 'bug announcements', in which we would applaud those whom had killed the most bugs. In fact in our room we had a spider who was the most brilliant spider I know because he built his web on the EXIT sign on the door, and so when the lights were all out the bugs would fly to the it sign right, and get caught in his web. He was beating us all, but by the end of the week he had gone visit his sick mother or something because we were eaten alive at night.
Well I have a TON of work to do for Mr. P's writing class, so I have to get off. see you guys later.

My summer

Well now that the play is over I am going to stop talking about it. Although I got some interesting comments concerning the 'finishedness' of something, and some interesting opinions of what that means. I really am going to miss all the people in our cast and crew. But hopefully they will all do it next year, and perhaps I will see them throughout the summer at cast parties and the like. Regardless, it is kind of cool that I met so many people, and got to know them.
Now ECHO is screaming me in the face. It is fast approaching. And I am not ready for it. The first team is coming back this weeks and we leave Saturday morning at 7:00. Which means I won't be blogging much. Anyways, I have to make breakfast this morning, so I guess I will close off.

In conclusion of last weeks topic

I know I said I would do a topic of the week, but I want to conclude last weeks topic first. As many of you know the Music Man play is now over. Our last performance was Saturday, and we are all very sad. There were many ups and downs in this play, but all in all it was a very wonderful experience. Last night was our cast party, which was held at the Krauters. We had a lot of fun swimming, paddle boating, trampalining(sp?), and watching ourselves. (the play movie that is) I am really going to miss everyone a lot. Some more then others. Anyways, I guess I will now sign off, and I will start a new topic. I also want to that all of you who came and watched us, it was very mush appresieted by me anyway, and for those of you taht didn't I am sorry you missed out and there is always next year.

A review of our first performance

Last night was our first performance for the Music Man. Technically it wasn't a performance because it is called an open dress rehearsal. But when you do a dress rehearsal in front of 250 people it is no longer a rehearsal, it's a performance. Anyways I arrived at the U of I at 5:30 sharp, sadly I thought I was right on time, it turns out that we were should have to be there are 4:30ish. So I was late, and they were in the middle of practicing the library sense, (for those of you that haven't seen it that is a scene that I am in, and it involves lots of dancing and concentration.) So Aaron was like, 'hey come and join us.' Anyways so we practiced that for a while, and I felt horrible about being late and stuff, but then Jenny told me that one of the guys has walked in just moments before I did, which made me feel better. Anyways, I spent the next hour and a half dressing myself for the stage, and doing hair for Mary, Laura, and Katheryn. And then Aaron sat us all down and went over the do's and don'ts of performing, prayed with us, and warmed us up. Then the guys started the first scene. And we did the play!!! I wasn't nervous at all on stage. But I am sorta like that. I LOVE being on stage, almost more then anything else. I feel free and happy to be on stage.
I didn't get home till 10:00, and I was SO tired. But I got some sleep and woke up this morning to work at Isaac's again. So that is where I am now. But I need to go do some Algebra.
Now we just have two more nights and you all must come.

This weeks topic

The topic for this week is the Music Man. Not just the play, but the story in general. We are going to discuss and debate many things but the first is: have you seen the movie? Many people haven't but we own it and I have been watching it a lot for the last couple of weeks. Please comment on whether or not you have seen the movie, or if you know the story.
The second thing we need to discuss is whether you are coming to my play, these are the dates, times, etc.:
THURSDAY JUNE 3 at 7:00
FRIDAY JUNE 4 at 7:00
SATURDAY JUNE 5 at 7:00

ALL PERFORMANCES ARE AT THE UNIVERSALS OF INDIANAPOLIS THE RANSBURG AUDITORIUM.
SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED, NO TICKETS NECESSARY, BECAUSE IT IS FREE.

You all must try to come. Because if you don't I will feel unloved. I promise to update more now that I have a topic to discuss.

First Day of June

Today is the first day in the month of June. Yes, it is rather unbelievable. The year is half way over, what a year it has been. Everyone needs to change their calendars, and say farewell to their May day attitude. Anyways, I have decided to do a topic of the week. This way when people don't have anything to comment on on my blog because they can't relate they can make some sort of bold statement on the topic. Anyways, this weeks topic will be introduced later for now my mother wants me to review algebra with her, and figure out a summer schedule.
